A University of Minnesota crowdfunding campaign helped the Gopher softball team get to Oklahoma City for the 2019 Women’s College World Series in June. This was Minnesota’s first appearance in the series.

Although the No. 7- seeded Gophers fell to No. 2 UCLA in the first round and were defeated by Washington in the second round, the team is already gearing up for next year.

“Donor support helps provide the resources necessary to operate a championship-caliber program,” says coach Jamie Trachsel. “Thanks to all of our donors who have been part of our success on and off the field.”
